Polar Express

This is our 3rd year riding the Polar Express and once again we had a wonderful journey to the "North Pole" to pick up Santa. Mary Clare had a bad time at the beginning of the trip and I was afraid we weren't going to make it but she rebounded nicely and recovered her good manners. This trip is so special to us for lots of reasons but especially because it was on the train in 2006 that we made the decision to adopt our Margaret Rose.
We read some Christmas stories while waiting to depart.
Mary Clare refusing to be cooperative.
We have always had enthusiastic talent on our cars. I have heard other people say that there attendants grumbled and were not very merry but ours have always been good. This years' were superb!

Snacks! Mary Clare did NOT spill hot chocolate this year - yeah for our big girl!

Margaret Rose just loved his girl! She was so upbeat and made our trip even more special.

Air Saxophone!
Time to read the story.
This man is Mary Clare's favorite person! She was not very fond of Santa when she was 2 years old but spent the entire train trip outrageously flirting with "Mr. Conductor." He was so sweet to her.

And now 2 years later she still adores him!

Watching for Santa!
Yeah! We're going to sing!

Oh goody! The 12 Days of Christmas.
5 Golden Rings
2 Turtle Doves
And a partridge in a pear tree

Now lets sing while holding our noses?!
Here comes Santa Claus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells!
